Terms & Conditions - Snuggle Paws Palace Petsitter Austin

This legally binding contract (the "Agreement") is entered into by and between Snuggle Paws Palace Petsitter Austin (hereinafter "SPP Austin," "Company," "we," "us," or "our") and the pet owner (hereinafter "Owner"). By accessing, using, or engaging with the pet sitting, dog boarding, and pet care services provided by Snuggle Paws Palace Petsitter Austin, the Owner expressly acknowledges and agrees to comply with all terms and conditions set forth herein. The Owner’s continued use of our professional pet care services shall constitute an ongoing acceptance of these terms.
This Agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Texas, including, but not limited to, Texas Business & Commerce Code, Texas Property Code, and Texas Civil Practice & Remedies Code. Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to this Agreement shall be adjudicated exclusively in the courts located in Travis County, Texas. The Owner hereby consents to the jurisdiction and venue of these courts and waives any objections thereto.
Failure to comply with any provisions stated herein may result in the immediate termination of pet boarding services, loss of future booking privileges, and potential legal action for any outstanding debts or damages incurred due to the Owner’s breach of this contract. Snuggle Paws Palace Petsitter Austin reserves the right to modify, update, or revise these terms at any time, with or without prior notice. Continued use of the pet sitting, dog daycare, or dog walking services after such modifications shall be deemed an acceptance of the revised terms.
1. Reservations, Payment Obligations & Cancellation Policy
1.1. Payment & Authorization
All pet care reservations, including overnight boarding, dog daycare, and in-home pet sitting, are subject to full prepayment before the pet’s check-in date. No pet will be accepted into our care unless the full payment is received and processed successfully. Any failure to provide timely payment may result in cancellation of the reservation and denial of services.
By submitting payment details, the Owner expressly authorizes Snuggle Paws Palace Petsitter Austin to process charges against their provided credit or debit card for any outstanding balances, including but not limited to boarding fees, veterinary expenses, damages, late pickup fees, or other penalties. Such authorization remains in effect until all outstanding charges have been fully satisfied.
In the event of non-payment or declined transactions, Snuggle Paws Palace Petsitter Austin reserves the right to seek legal recourse, including but not limited to employing third-party debt collection services or initiating legal proceedings to recover owed amounts, as permitted under Texas Business & Commerce Code § 604.001.
1.2. Cancellation & Holiday Policy
Due to the family-oriented nature of our business and limited availability of spaces (only 10-11 dogs maximum), we do not accept cancellations once a reservation is confirmed. The reservation will be considered final and no changes or cancellations will be allowed.

Standard Reservations: If a reservation is made, the booking will remain firm with no option for cancellation or refund. We strongly recommend making sure the booking dates are correct before confirming.

Holiday & Peak Season Reservations: All bookings during holiday periods are non-refundable due to high demand and limited availability. These bookings are considered final. The applicable holiday rate will apply for reservations made during New Year's, Easter, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. No refunds or credits will be issued for unused days, even if a pet is picked up earlier than scheduled.
2. Liability & Owner Responsibilities
2.1. Owner’s Financial Liability
The Owner certifies that their pet does not have a history of aggression toward humans or other animals and assumes full financial responsibility for any property damage or injuries caused by their pet while in the care of Snuggle Paws Palace Petsitter Austin.
Snuggle Paws Palace Petsitter Austin reserves the right to charge the Owner’s payment method on file for any damages sustained to property, including but not limited to furniture, fixtures, equipment, or any harm inflicted upon pet care personnel. Should damages exceed the available funds in the Owner’s account, Snuggle Paws Palace Petsitter Austin reserves the right to initiate legal proceedings to recover costs, inclusive of court fees and attorney’s expenses.
2.2. Limitation of Liability
Snuggle Paws Palace Petsitter Austin is not liable for any injuries, illnesses, or minor play-related incidents that may occur during the pet’s stay, provided reasonable care and precautions have been taken. Additionally, Snuggle Paws Palace Petsitter Austin bears no liability for pre-existing medical conditions that may worsen during the boarding period.
The Owner agrees to hold Snuggle Paws Palace Petsitter Austin harmless from any unforeseen circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, accidents, animal behavior anomalies, or emergencies, as governed by Texas Civil Practice & Remedies Code § 41.001.
3. Emergency Medical Care & Veterinary Costs
3.1. Veterinary Treatment Authorization
In case of a medical emergency, Snuggle Paws Palace Petsitter Austin reserves the right to act in the best interest of the pet, including but not limited to seeking immediate veterinary attention. The Owner acknowledges that such decisions may be made in their absence and waives any rights to dispute emergency treatment performed in good faith.
Should the Owner be unreachable within a reasonable timeframe, Snuggle Paws Palace Petsitter Austin is authorized to approve emergency veterinary treatment up to the amount of $2,500 to ensure the pet’s safety and well-being.
3.2. Owner’s Financial Responsibility
All medical and veterinary expenses incurred on behalf of the pet remain the sole financial responsibility of the Owner. Failure to pay for such expenses shall result in automatic deductions from the payment method on file or legal enforcement measures.
4. Check-In, Check-Out & Late Pickup Policy
4.1. Check-In & Check-Out Requirements
Owners are required to adhere to designated check-in and check-out times. Late check-outs exceeding five (5) minutes shall incur a penalty fee.
4.2. Extended Late Pick-Up Fees

More than two (2) hours late: An additional full day of boarding will be charged.

More than twenty-four (24) hours late: The pet shall be considered abandoned, and ownership transfer proceedings may commence in accordance with Texas Property Code § 70.001 et seq.
