Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
𦴠What is your approach to hygiene and cleanliness?
Hygiene is our top priority! π We ensure that all indoor and outdoor areas are cleaned and disinfected daily. Bowls, toys, and resting areas are washed regularly, and we have strict protocols to guarantee a healthy and safe environment for every dog.
We kindly ask pet parents to bring their dogs clean to respect the premises and other guests. Since dogs have free access to furniture and couches, good hygiene is essential for their comfort and that of others.
π Should I book in advance?
Yes! Snuggle Paws Palace is a small family business, and we limit the number of dogs to offer them personalized attention. π‘πΎ To ensure a spot for your pup, we recommend booking as early as possible, especially during holidays and weekends.
πΆ Do you accept all dogs?
For safety reasons, we only welcome dogs with good behavior and non-aggressive temperaments. Each dog must be sociable with other animals and humans. An initial meeting may be necessary before the first stay to ensure everything goes smoothly.
We ask all new pet parents to bring their dogs for a half-day evaluation before booking the full boarding service. Please reserve a half-day and note that this evaluation is for the purpose of determining suitability for boarding.
π« Do you accept puppies or untrained dogs?
We accept puppies from 4 months old, and untrained dogs are welcome as long as they are not dangerous and are house-trained. We cannot accommodate destructive dogs or those aggressive toward other guests.
π¦ Do you require vaccinations for dogs?
Yes, we require all dogs to be up to date on their vaccinations before arriving to ensure the safety and health of all our guests. ππ
Vaccinations must include rabies, distemper, and Bordetella (for kennel cough). We also recommend flea treatments. Proof of vaccination must be provided upon arrival. If your dogβs vaccinations are not up to date, we reserve the right to refuse service to prevent the spread of illness or disease.
πΈ Will I receive updates about my dog during their stay?
Absolutely! π We send regular updates with photos and videos so you can see how their stay is going and feel reassured.
π Where will my dog sleep?
With us, there are no cages! π‘π Each dog can sleep wherever they feel most comfortable: on a couch, a cozy bed, or their own cushion.
Owners can bring their dog's bed to make them feel even more at ease. ποΈ For anxious dogs, we recommend bringing a t-shirt with your scent so they have a comforting item during their stay.
We also offer a special option for anxious dogs πΆπ:
Delphine, the caregiver, is a dog foster in the United States and has volunteered in Europe in shelters and animal rescue. She has three dogs rescued from physical abuse and knows how to gain the trust of the most fearful dogs.
For the more anxious ones, we recommend parents opt for a gradual stay: a first day, then an overnight stay, before a long stay. This allows the dog to understand they are safe and will have a wonderful vacation while their parents are away.
π³ Will my dog have access to the outdoors?
Yes! π Our guests have free access to the secure garden all day, under our constant supervision. They can play, run, and relax outdoors as much as they wish.
π Should I bring my dog's food?
Yes, we ask you to bring your dog's usual food to avoid upsetting their digestive system.
π¨ NEW: We also offer a menu option π½οΈ where parents can pre-order their dog's meals. However, we ask you to bring some of their usual food to mix it gradually and prevent any digestive issues due to a sudden change in diet. For more details, consult our Menu & Treats section.
However, if you prefer, we can also take care of your dog's food. We recommend bringing your dogβs food to ensure consistency, but we are happy to provide meals for them too.
πΎ Can I bring toys for my dog?
Yes! π§Έ You are welcome to bring your dogβs favorite toys. However, please note that we limit chew toys, such as bones, to avoid conflicts between the dogs, as they are all together and without cages. We want to make sure there are no disputes or possessiveness over bones.
πͺ Can I bring treats for my dog?
Yes! We treat all our guests equally when it comes to treats. When we give treats to one, we give to all to ensure fairness. However, you can bring your dogβs favorite treats, or you can choose from our selection of treats available in our shop. We give treats twice a dayβonce around noon and once before bedtime.
πΏ Do you offer grooming services?
π¨ NEW: We offer grooming services for our boarders.
π Our grooming is different from traditional salons:
πΆ Your dog will be bathed in a real tub, with soft music to relax them.
πΆ We create a soothing atmosphere, far from the stress of a typical grooming salon.
πΆ We trim nails, but if the dog does not allow it, we will not insist to avoid stress or injury.
πΆ We do not cut hair, but we offer baths, brushing, and ear cleaning.
βοΈ Can I come to the facility without a reservation?
Strictly No Walk-Ins π«: For the safety and comfort of our guests, we do not allow any unannounced visits. All visitors must schedule an appointment in advance. Please make a reservation before coming to our facility. This ensures that we can properly prepare and allocate space for your pet and prevent any disruptions to our current guests.
